Umatic gives the possibility to invite audiovisual artists -working in the field of net-, sound- software- video-art- for an artist in residence at Umatic. During an artist in residence the invited artists has the possibility to work in the umatic studio and use the provided tools and facilities.

The residence is meant to be an exchange of knowledge and skills between the visiting artists and local artists. To stimulate this process, Umatic prefers artists who are able / willing to give a workshop and a presentation/performances about their working method and used techniques at a local venue in Utrecht.

Umatic will provide shared working space [w/ ADSL-connection, av-tools, computers, a.o. resources] and a possibility for a place to stay [costs are negociable].
